A few weeks ago I was going along the Südweststeirischen Weinstraße. You find some picture of this wonderful part of Styria here. Since I use del.icio.us more and more I added the latest added URLs to my favourite links. Actually it is done automatically by subscribing an RSS feed provided by del.icio.us and parsing it with Magpie RSS. 04.03.2007

Optimization of the picture-resize functions: I changed some PHP functions and added a function for sharpening the thumbnails. This should lead into a better thumbnail quality without a significant loss in speed. 23.11.2006

As you can see I, the new design of my homepage is online. The main targets were to increase the speed of the galleries, to improve the navigation and to make a new design. Probably it will take another few weeks until all the galleries and articles are online again. But the new application-design (Smarty is used as template engine, XML-based menu) should make it easier for me to publish new pages. I am back from the Novarock Festival. After a couple festivals it was great again. Metallica were playing almost 3 hours, the Bloodhound Gang was as nasty as usual and the weather was great (sunny and hot for 3 days). I took a couple of pictures which you find here. 13.06.2006

Unfortunately no SMS can be sent to me via my homepage anymore. There are two reasons which led to that: 1. It seems that T-Mobile has disabled the email2sms gateway 2. I have a new mobile phone number and I do not know if A1 supports an email2sms gateway. Maybe I'll find another possibility to reactivate this service - who knows... 24.04.2005

As Firefox user may have already noticed I changed changed the technology for website development a little bit. Instead of using tables I'm using CSS to position the elements on the website. I hope I can position the elements more precisely and the time for loading the page will decrease in future. The first advantage of this change is that there are no gaps on my startpage anymore. I improved the gallery functions. The popup window for the big pictures resizes automatically and the alt-text of the pictures is the picture name (which usualy describes the picture). It depends on the browser you use but if you remain with the mouse pointer over the picture the description pops up. 10.10.2004
My webspace provider had a major problem with a computer virus and deleted my homepage and all data (news, guestbook, ...). I have already uploaded most of the files, just the galleries don't work yet - I will "repair" that until the end of the week. Nevertheless I hope you return to my page and write something in the guestbook :-)
